Installation Guide
Ready to give Modest Tree Xplorer a try? Here's a step-by-step guide on how to get started from the comfort of your own device.
Or if you received an invitation to participate as a multiplayer guest in one of our demos, follow the steps on how to Join Room provided at the bottom of this page.
How to Install the Xplorer Player Only
If you are only interested in how to start or join lessons already created then you only need to install the player. If you are interested in lesson creation skip to the How to Install Xplorer Creator section below
Go to your app store (Apple Store for iOS, Google Play for Android, or Windows) and download the Modest Tree Xplorer App.
Launch the app.
Log in (if you don’t have an account, click on the Register Account button in the mobile app or register through app.modesttree.com/auth/register on PC)
a. Fill out the form with your information.
b. Agree to the terms of use
c. Click to verify “I am not a robot”
d. You will need to validate your email by going to your email inbox, opening the verification email, and clicking the link provided.
e. Once complete, return to the app and log in.
Create a Room
After logging in, click on a project and click "Download" to start downloading it to your device
Once the download has finished, click on the downloaded project
Select the lesson you want to start in
If you selected a “multiplayer session,” select the users you would like to add to the room
If you are using VR, check the “use VR option”; if not, leave unchecked
Click “launch”
Start experimenting with Xplorer’s unique features!
Join Room
Did you receive an invitation to participate as a multiplayer guest in one of our demos? Here are the steps for joining a room.
Log into the Modest Tree Xplorer app (follow the previous instructions for registering a new account)
Click on "Join Room"
Select the invitation
Click "Launch"
Download the project when prompted
How to Install the Xplorer Creator
Xplorer creator is available for PC only. It can be downloaded through the portal sidebar.
Login to app.techcompanion.io if you don't already have an account register now.
Download Modest Tree Suite
Login to Portal with same credentials
In "Projects" tab select "Create New Project" under the "Unlinked Projects" section
Drag and drop assets in the assets section of the project detail page
Launch Xplorer by pressing the xplorer logo at the top of the project detail page
